Tim and Tracy
Stocker, relatives of one of our members and farmers who
have experienced the effects of several Snohomish River
floods, have a plan to assist those devastated by flooding
in Southwest Washington. They have asked us to aid
their plan to deliver a semi-truck load of necessities to
those in need. We are appealing to Kiwanis members
throughout divisions 21 and 22 to help the accomplish their
goal.
Here is what is
needed. (New or “gently used” items that you would like
in your home): Space heaters, pots and pans, toasters
and appliances of all sizes (especially electric skillets),
sundries and cleaning supplies, non perishable food, pet
food, furniture (big demand), clothing, infant supplies,
bedding, cash cards, etc.
Items may be
left at “Hidden Meadows” 11805 Springhetti Rd.,
Snohomish, WA (no need to call ahead, just pull in the
driveway and put it in the first barn), or at the
Snohomish Soccer Dome, 511 Maple Ave., Snohomish, WA
between the hours of 9:00-4:00), week days. The plan is to
leave for the flood area the first of February, so all
materials need to be gathered by January 30.
